British summertime is nothing if not unpredictable, often lulling us into a false sense of security with days of sunshine only to suddenly revert to torrential rain. Kate Middleton knows it’s best not to leave things to chance.
The Princess of Wales returned to Royal Ascot yesterday (June 17) after a three-year hiatus, and she certainly brought the sunshine herself. Catherine wore a bold yellow Roksanda dress, paired with a wide-brimmed Jane Taylor London hat.
The neon number appears to be one of Kate’s favorites. She first wore it for a public appearance during a royal tour of Jamaica in 2022, the vibrant shade serving as a nod to the colors of the Jamaican flag, and then reached for it again for an appearance at the Wimbledon Ladies Finals later that year. Four years on, it’s a Kate Middleton tried-and-true, demonstrating the power of a well-timed rewear, and proving that sunshine-yellow works just as well at Ascot as it does at against the green tennis courts.
